One of the first games I ever had a huge connection with was Final Fantasy 7. Ever since, I have become obsessed with the Final Fantasy franchise. I will typically play any Final Fantasy game I can get my hands on. I’ve been playing Final Fantasy Explorers for the Nintendo 3DS for about a week now and really wanted to share with you guys my experience so far!
When I initially found out about the game I instantly preordered it. I didn’t really do any research, but from the trailer I honestly thought it would be like the game Fantasy Life. As I began playing it was very much like the Monster Hunter games!
This is very unlike most Final Fantasy games since it’s very hack and slash. So far, I don’t find it very hard to play. The armor and weapons are pretty rad and look amazing too.
Honestly, the story is lacking. To make up for it there are a lot of creatures and eidolons that are from the previous games. As a Final Fantasy nerd, I can really appreciate this game. I personally am enjoying the crap out of it. I just wish I had more friends that wanted to play this with me, since it relies on multiplayer a lot! It also reminds me of Final Fantasy XIV, which I played A LOT OF.
I wouldn’t recommend Final Fantasy Explorers for people looking for something unique to add to their game collection or someone looking for something really tough. It’s best for people who love the world of Final Fantasy and just want something to casually play off and on.

The Collector’s Edition has a lot of cool things to offer such as the concept art and a nice DS case. I tried to preorder that one, but I couldn’t even get on the list… >_> If you’re interested, order Final Fantasy Explorers via Amazon. I couldn’t find it in any large stores or even places like Gamestop.
