I promised you guys some resources, so here they are! I know that I’m a book person personally. Especially when I’m outside doing things, I hate leaving electronics laying in the sun or rain. Having a book right there, ready to go (and less than $500), is how I work best! Check out these books for Japanese Gardening to help you with all the details!

You can pre-order Zen in Your Garden: Creating Sacred Spaces in July via Amazon. I really want to see what this book has in store, because I am looking to create a sacred space. I want to be more involved with nature and appreciate it more. This would be a great book to start it off.

I already nabbed this book while I could. The Authentic Japanese Gardens book looks stunning. The pictures themselves are just an inspiration. Also, it goes in more depth about the elements that I have been talking about this whole month!

I think that Samadhi on Zen Gardens would be an interesting read. Mostly because it shows actual gardens outside of the city of Kyoto. If anyone is traveling to Japan anytime soon (ME!) this would be a great book to check out.

For my analytical audience out there, I think this The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Japanese Gardening would be super helpful! I’ll have to check this one out myself when I get a chance. Encyclopedias are the best of the best for just basic information and a great starting point.

Now you and I can get started with our gardens and maybe share our experiences? Let me know how things are going and share pictures!
